HAZERDOUS
Transboundary haze from Indonesia is one of the tricky enemies that Singapore is facing now. It’s taking health and usual life from the citizens when it comes. It also interferes operations of public transportation like airplane and ships. As the busiest transshipment hub in the world, Singapore’s port terminal will be expanded to 13.45km2 of yard area in 2027. But in future, its geographic advantage as a major transshipment hub could be severely diminished with new shipping routes arising from geopolitical. The terminal will lose its only function by then. The project aims to defend the haze before it reached Singapore. At the same time, to increase diversity and self-sustaining of the port terminal for future transformation of the port.
