自 1990 年代以來,我們逐漸發現全球海漂垃圾的問題,各地沿岸排放的民生、工業垃圾經由洋流、海風等影響,各地之垃圾再廣大的海洋上漂流,隨著時間裂解,最終會集於各大洋之漩渦之中。這些垃圾不但影響海中生物及鳥類,也深深影響著各個位置的島嶼,例如中途島、西表島、馬祖等。我的設計目標是提出一個長期、生態友善、高效率的策略,用以解決海漂垃圾造成沿岸汙染的問題。計畫以微藻類生產之高附著力,水底作用之生物接著劑,結合海漂垃圾之材料,構成新形態之防汙地形結構與材料產業,解決海漂垃圾產生之問題。
Algaerithm is an ecological strategy to collect and reuse the debris from the sea, protecting the shore and the eco-system around the island. Using algae based adhesive produce by certain cultivation device, these debris could formed into kind of topography structure, to collect and protect the shore, the device is feed on waste water, so it’s also a waste water treatment facility. Aim to come up with an overall strategy that is sustainable, eco-friedly and adaptive method that may extent to fit each site on the world.
